The Belarussian National Technical University (BNTU) has a community of more than 800 international students who have come from over 40 countries worldwide. The University has been welcoming international students onto its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for many years and values the academic and cultural contribution they make to the University.

The international component is of great significance in the activity of the Belarussian National  Technical University (BNTU).  We consider that learning and research around the globe should be open to all people. In this connection our University is creating all the possibilities by means of international cooperation. So we are proud of the fact that our institution is a full and associate member of such prestigious and reputable international organizations as UNESCO - United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, IAU - International Association of Universities, EUA - European University Association, IAESTE -  International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, SEFI  - European Society for Engineering Education, FISITA - International Federation of Automotive Engineers, EAEC – European Automobile Engineers Cooperation, FIB – International Federation of Concrete and others. So it is quite natural that the Belarussian National Technical University is continuously involved in a great number of various educational and research international projects and programs.  In 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 our University participated in the EUA Quality Culture Projects I and II which were aimed at contributing to the development and embedding of a systematic and coherent quality culture in universities as well as to the general goals of the Bologna Process and the Lisbon objectives through increased transparency and attractiveness of European higher education. During the first stage of the Project our partners were the following European higher educational institutions: University of Bergen (Norway – coordinator of the EAU Quality Culture Project I), University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia), Brunel University (London, UK), Technische Universitat Braunschweig (Germany), Karl Adamiecki University of Economics (Katowice, Poland), University of Pitesti (Romania), University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic), University of Rijeka (Croatia).  The second part of the EAU Quality Culture Project II was carried out in close cooperation with four Universities, namely: K.U.Leuven Association embracing 14 higher educational institutions (Belgium -  coordinator of the EAU Quality Culture Project II), University of Vienna (Austria), University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic), University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia).
